The Mughal red flower coaster set contains six coasters in Vietnam white marble with an array of gemstones reminiscent of the designs within the walls of the Taj Mahal. The set is held within a delicate holder adorned with a traditional Mughal design, as well.
Each of the coasters contains Red Carnelian, Lapis Lazuli, Malachite (green), Turquoise (sky blue), Jaisalmer Stone, and White Mother of Pearl. Red carnelian is a brownish and red tinted gemstone. Its color varies from a brown-red to a red-orange range. Lapis lazuli is a semiprecious stone valued for its deep and intense blue color.
Each set will slightly vary as each coaster is handmade using the Pietra Dura technique originating in 16th century Florence (also known as Parchin Kari).
